leisure: spring into summer

Spring is here along with the perfect opportunity to enjoy the lovely weather. Make the most of your weekends, bank holidays and the half term break with our guide to some of the UK’s best attractions and events. Whether you have a brood of tiny tots or older children who like to be kept busy, there is plenty to do this season.

Warwickshires Country Parks offer the perfect location for your family to enjoy a breath of fresh air. Your children can enjoy the freedom of the great outdoors, combined with a picnic for the perfect day out.

Visit some of the many stately homes and museums where your children get a sense of history and learn about their connection to the past. Ragley Hall has a hot summer of events lined up for you and your family between April and July.

Colliery Tours, Bat Night and Family Fun Week (May 31st – 6th June) are just some of the fantastic events planned at Snibston Discovery Park. Interactive fun for kids, offering a fascinating journey around 500 years of technological innovation and its impact on our everyday lives.

The Wychwood Festival, 4 - 6 June, Cheltenham Racecourse, returns for its sixth successive year as the UK’s leading boutique, family festival. With the likes of The Happy Mondays, Seth Lakeman, The Lightening Seeds and The Levellers taking to the main stage in it’s strongest line-up to date. Joining the musical fervour, actor and writer Robin Ince will headline as part of the festival's comedic offering, with Canadian Pete Johansson bringing the festival to a rabble-rousing finish on the Sunday.
