education: new junior school building
Northamptonshire Grammar School has announced that it is the School’s intention to build a purpose built Junior School.
Planning permission is to be sought within the next few weeks, with an anticipated completion date of January 2011. Internally the new building will offer a more practical layout for the pupils, the external visuals of the building will compliment and blend with the natural, beautiful surroundings.
Mrs Janet Cooper, Head of Juniors is delighted with the proposal for a new building; “I am very proud to be taking the Junior School forward into the new era. The new building is a great step in the right direction for the Juniors. At NGS it is important that each child has their individual qualities nurtured and the new building will provide better facilities to support this ethos.”

The School’s aim is to educate every child as a whole, not just academically and sets, expects and maintains very high standards in all of its disciplines. Achieving outstanding GCSE and A Level results year on year is just part of the School’s overall objective of nurturing each pupil to achieve their full potential, which includes on the sports field, in the theatre and personally.
